上海西華國(guó)際學(xué)校國(guó)際學(xué)士學(xué)位中學(xué)計(jì)劃專為在11到16歲之間的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì)，旨在幫助學(xué)生認(rèn)識(shí)世界，擔(dān)負(fù)世界公民責(zé)任，積極學(xué)習(xí)如何學(xué)習(xí)和如何批判性地評(píng)估信息。學(xué)校所有學(xué)生必須足夠有能力用英語(yǔ)用英語(yǔ)完成整個(gè)課程的學(xué)習(xí)。該項(xiàng)目的主要科目有語(yǔ)言、科學(xué)。數(shù)學(xué)、藝術(shù)、物理、設(shè)計(jì)等。
學(xué)校目前提供英語(yǔ)、漢語(yǔ)和西班牙語(yǔ)課程，主要通過(guò)研究文學(xué)鍛煉學(xué)生閱讀、寫(xiě)作、聽(tīng)力和分析/解釋技能。它還包括視覺(jué)圖像和文本的理解。在科學(xué)課上學(xué)生不僅要物理的基本原理,還要探究地球,生活,化學(xué),環(huán)境科學(xué)。學(xué)生將從實(shí)踐的角度,結(jié)合實(shí)際進(jìn)行課堂學(xué)習(xí)。數(shù)學(xué)包括五個(gè)分支數(shù)學(xué):號(hào)碼、代數(shù)、幾何和三角,統(tǒng)計(jì)和概率、離散數(shù)學(xué)。藝術(shù)課上學(xué)生將學(xué)習(xí)音樂(lè)、戲劇、視覺(jué)藝術(shù)。
