Last week, Hong Qiao International School campus and facilities have been inspected by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and the local competent authorities. We are glad to announce that HQIS has passed all the inspections and our reopening plan has been officially authorized! Today, students of four Upper School grades returned to school.

　　As the epidemic has stabilized in China, we have received many inquiries from parents. Recently, HQIS has successfully held the first online open day and the feedback was overwhelming. To respond to increasing parents' inquiries, we have prepared the second online Open Day.

　　Shanghai Hong Qiao International School was established in 1997. We officially became an approved International Baccalaureate (IB) school in 2012. IB education standards are now well-respected around the world. We are particularly proud that Hong Qiao International school was one of the first IB schools to be established in China.

　　1997年，上海虹橋國際外籍人員子女學校(下簡稱HQIS)成立。2009年申請，2012年通過審核，成為IB-PYP的認證學校。IB教育如今在全球名聲大噪，卻很少有人知道，HQIS是國內(nèi)首批認證學校。

　　Over our 23 years, Hong Qiao International School, the oldest international school in Shanghai, has become a comprehensive school with a 15-grade level of academic excellence fully articulated including Kindergarten, Primary, Middle School, and High Schools all on the one campus.

　　• 美國艾威達學校的創(chuàng)始校長，艾威達是一所藍帶學校，被認為是美國的高中之一，目前是世界上第二大的IB學校。

　　• 參與創(chuàng)立艾威達-Macomb學校，Washtenaw國際高中和Washtenaw國際初中。艾威達-Macomb學校在2018年被評為美國的重點公立中學。

　　• 前奧克蘭大學IB教學和學習認證講師。曾任IB理事會成員，因為他對國際教育的卓著貢獻，IB組織授予他較高榮譽Inspiration Award(“啟迪獎章”)。
