今年AIC盛裝迎接農(nóng)歷新年到來(lái)

　　一場(chǎng)有趣又有料的中國(guó)風(fēng)派對(duì)讓師生們玩得不亦樂(lè)乎

　　A grand welcome to the up-coming Chinese New Year happened on AIC campus. Our teachers and students had a great time at the fun and traditional Chinese style celebration party.

　　早在假期前一周

　　教學(xué)樓和中式花園就掛起了精致的賀歲裝飾

　　A week before the holiday, the teaching building and Chinese Garden were decorated with exquisite lanterns and ornaments.

　　Yueying和Nicola老師策劃了多重活動(dòng)

　　AIC四大院隊(duì)之間展開(kāi)了比賽

　　Our teacher, Yueying and Nicola, launched a series of competitions involving the four houses at AIC.

　　大家紛紛燃燒創(chuàng)意小宇宙

　　投入了穿傳統(tǒng)服飾、寫(xiě)春聯(lián)、猜燈謎等一個(gè)個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)

　　They encouraged everyone to paticipate actively in the most proactive and creative way, in all activities, like wearing traditional clothes, writing spring festival couplets calligraphy and guessing lantern riddles.

　　Let’s have a look at how AIC teachers and students welcomed the good luck of Chinese Spring Festival.

　　第1招：中國(guó)風(fēng)賀年Look / Traditional Chinese dressing

　　新春假期前較后一天，不少中外籍師生們都穿上了自己精心準(zhǔn)備的、較喜愛(ài)的中國(guó)風(fēng)元素服飾，祝大家新年快樂(lè)!

　　On the last school day before CNY holiday, many Chinese and foreign teachers and students put on their favorite Chinese style clothes, and said ‘Happy New Year’ to each other.

　　第2招：寫(xiě)春聯(lián)曬書(shū)法 / Festival couplets calligraphy

　　志在參與的寫(xiě)春聯(lián)環(huán)節(jié)，竟讓大家驚喜地發(fā)現(xiàn)AIC有不少老師和同學(xué)書(shū)法功底了得呀!

　　From the spring festival couplet writing, we were able to identify the talents of many AIC teachers and students in calligraphy!

　　第3招：猜燈謎贏榮譽(yù) / Guessing lantern riddles

　　在學(xué)校中式花園，我們準(zhǔn)備了中英雙語(yǔ)的謎語(yǔ)，讓全校師生們一起來(lái)競(jìng)猜。每個(gè)猜出正確答案的參與者，都能為自己的院隊(duì)爭(zhēng)得分?jǐn)?shù)。

　　We prepared riddles in both English and Chinese hanged them at the Chinese Garden, for all students and teachers to paticipate and solve them. The correct answers contributed to house points.

　　第4招：團(tuán)拜會(huì)展才藝 / Performing on assembly

　　2月5日，Allen和Jiehong兩個(gè)導(dǎo)師組的成員們帶來(lái)了一場(chǎng)新春團(tuán)拜主題集會(huì)，活動(dòng)依然以奏唱國(guó)歌拉開(kāi)表演序幕。

　　On Feb 5th, Allen's and Jiehong’s mentor groups presented the assembly themed Chinese New Year Celebrations. The event officially started with the singing of the National anthem.

　　在Annie同學(xué)對(duì)中國(guó)十二生肖進(jìn)行全面介紹后，David、Leo與一眾同學(xué)以一段10分鐘的話劇表演，對(duì)生肖牛的傳說(shuō)展開(kāi)詳細(xì)介紹。After Annie’s Introduction of Chinese Zodiac, David and Leo presented the 10-minute long Drama about The legend of Ox with their other mentees.

　　Rebecca和Caroline帶來(lái)歌曲《平凡的一天》

　　Rebecca and Caroline presented the song An Ordinary Day

　　Kenny同學(xué)表演了獨(dú)角戲《Sports Day》The Monologue, Sports Day, was presented by Kenny

　　《給你給我》是Louis同學(xué)的帶來(lái)的Solo表演Louis sang a Chinese pop song

　　Julie同學(xué)為大家?guī)?lái)了精彩的鋼琴表演《春節(jié)序曲》Julie showcased her excellent piano skills as she performed the Spring festival Overture.

　　Louis還與Katie利用他們的演講時(shí)間為大家分享了春節(jié)期間在不同地區(qū)人們所展開(kāi)的不同慶祝儀式。Louis and Katie also used their presentation time to tell us about various other Chinese New Year like ceremonies from around the world.

　　精彩的表演間隙，Usha同學(xué)為大家送上一段影片，邀請(qǐng)了多位外籍老師和同學(xué)分享他們以往在中國(guó)過(guò)年的難忘回憶。

　　In between the many performances, a video from Usha was shown. She invited many foreign teachers and students to share with us their unforgettable memories from China during the Spring Festival.

　　除了合唱《手心的薔薇》，Yoyo還與Amy帶來(lái)了影片《年的故事》。

　　After singing a Chinese pop song, Yoyo also shared with us a video she directed with Amy called The story of NIAN.

　　Andrea演奏了一首名為《My Everything》的鋼琴曲The piano music presented by Andrea was titled My Everything.

　　PDP1的同學(xué)們帶來(lái)英文詩(shī)朗誦《The Inchcape Rock》Students from PDP1 presented the English Poem: The Inchcape Rock.

　　Darren同學(xué)不僅與Cecelia一同擔(dān)任集會(huì)主持，還帶來(lái)了貝斯Solo，及出演Ryan與朋友們準(zhǔn)備的話劇《Pass it on》。Darren, who was the MC with Cecelia, also performed a bass solo, as well as took part in the Drama called Pass it on with Ryan and his friends.

　　外教們還以一首《甜蜜蜜》展示了他們的中文歌曲演唱水平。AIC foreign teachers sang the Tian Mi Mi to show off their Chinese singing.

　　隨后，Nicola老師為大家揭曉一系列賀歲活動(dòng)中各環(huán)節(jié)勝出院隊(duì)!

　　After that, Nicola announced the winners on each Chinese New Year celebration activities.

　　活動(dòng)尾聲，我校IBDP課程協(xié)調(diào)員Wendy Bo 老師代表校長(zhǎng)Bob Darwish 為大家送上新年祝福。負(fù)責(zé)管理學(xué)生事務(wù)的David Wang 老師特別提示，請(qǐng)大家積極配合學(xué)校防控工作指示，注意安全，假期愉快!On behalf the Head of School, Bob Darwish, the IBDP Coordinator, Wendy Bob, wished everyone a happy new year at the end of the assembly. David Wang, the Student Affairs Manager, reminded everyone to follow AIC COVID-19 prevention instructions to have a safe and a happy holiday!
