Please share with us your feelings at today's IEIC?
您在今天的IEIC現(xiàn)場(chǎng)有怎樣的感受?
Antony Geralis：
It's this time of the year again that parents, students, teachers, schools are thinking education and making the right choices for the new school year.
又到了一年的這個(gè)時(shí)候，所有的家長(zhǎng)、學(xué)生、老師、學(xué)校都在考慮新學(xué)年將如何做出正確的選擇。
It's the new admissions season and it's so heartwarming actually to see how much interested Chinese society is with regards to education and in this way shaping the future.
在招生季看到中國(guó)家長(zhǎng)、學(xué)生乃至社會(huì)對(duì)教育和塑就未來有如此大的興趣與熱情，我的內(nèi)心是非常溫暖的。
So, it feels really nice and fulfilling as an educator to see this vibrant community embarking on the journey of evolution.
作為一名教育工作者，看到這個(gè)充滿活力的社區(qū)開始這一進(jìn)步之旅，我感到美好而充實(shí)。

Please share with us an educational concept which you personally admire?
分享一下您個(gè)人非常崇尚的教育理念給大家
Antony Geralis：
The concept that I personally admire is the one of change because schools are learning organizations, like students.
我個(gè)人非常欣賞的一個(gè)理念是“改變”。因?yàn)楹蛯W(xué)生一樣，學(xué)校是一個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)型的組織。
If a school doesn't learn, which means that if a school doesn't change, then how is it going to improve? How is it going to grow?
如果一所學(xué)校沒有不斷的學(xué)習(xí)和改變，那么它將如何成長(zhǎng)、進(jìn)步?
How is it going to mature, become better and serve the needs of the students?
它將如何發(fā)展、成熟?如何更好地服務(wù)于學(xué)生的需求。
It's the same thing with students. They change every day, every year after attending a grade level.
這一觀念也同樣適用于學(xué)生，伴隨著每年每天的變化，我們的學(xué)生才能成長(zhǎng)到一定的高度。
So, what we expect of students we should also expect of schools that is to change, grow, mature and develop.
因此，在期待學(xué)生的成長(zhǎng)和進(jìn)步時(shí)，我們也應(yīng)該期待學(xué)校的改變、成長(zhǎng)、進(jìn)步與發(fā)展。

What capabilities do you think students who want to enter international (internationalized)schools should have?
您覺得想進(jìn)國(guó)際(化)學(xué)校的學(xué)生，應(yīng)該具備哪些能力?
Antony Geralis：
Apart from specific academics related skills, like English language competency,
除了特定的與學(xué)術(shù)相關(guān)的技能，比如英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言能力，
depending on whether the school is actually using English as one of the main media of instruction,
這取決于學(xué)校是否真的把英語(yǔ)作為主要的教學(xué)媒介之一，
what students need to have in any school, not only international or internationalized schools,
在任何一所學(xué)校里無論是國(guó)際學(xué)校或國(guó)際化的學(xué)校，學(xué)生所需要的，
is actually the will to learn, the will to evolve or as the ancient Greeks were saying the will of be“anthropoi”,
實(shí)際上是學(xué)習(xí)的意愿，進(jìn)取的意愿，或者就像古希臘人所說的，作為人類的意愿，
which means actually willing every single year of their lives to embrace change for a better future.
這實(shí)際上意味著，在生命的每一年中，他們都愿意擁抱改變，從而擁有美好的未來。
